01
Assemble the following pantry staples:
-
1/2 Cup Ground Coffee Beans for Cold Brew
-
2.5 Cups Filtered Water
-
1.5 Teaspoons Rich Demerara by The Flavor Apothecary
-
4 fl oz Milk of Choice
-
3/4 of a Banana, Sliced and Frozen
-
Ice
Optional - Protein Powder of Choice
02
Grind and Brew
Grind coffee beans (of choice) for cold brew. No home grinder? No problem! Most retail stores should grind it for you to order, or have a grinder for use, in-house.
Add grounds to a large jar or plunger with the water, and let steep overnight in the refrigerator (at least 12 - 16 hours). Double strain through a coffee filter the next morning and continue to refrigerate for repeated use. Should be used within 5 days if kept in a sealed bottle in the refrigerator.

03
Bring together the usual suspects
Dissolve the Rich Demerara Syrup in the cold brew and pour into a cup filled with ice. In a separate mixing bowl combine the milk, frozen banana slices and (optional) protein powder and blend with an immersion blender until smooth. A regular blender or similar could also be used. The frozen banana will give the blend a milkshake type consistency. Add more, or less milk, if the mix needs adjusting. Add to the glass with ice and cold brew mix. Two very distinct layers will form.

Enjoy!
Swirl the mix until the drink is well blended. This tastes like a banana pudding explosion in your mouth and always elevates my day! Enjoy
