Ingredients
2 oz Whiskey OR Bourbon OR Brandy
0.25 oz (1.25 teaspoons) THE FLAVOR APOTHECARY Rich Demerara Syrup
4 dashes angostura bitters
1 Cherry of choice (Amarena recommended)
1 orange peel
Optional for non-purist's: Soda of choice
Bringing it together
Add The Flavor Apothecary Rich Demerara syrup, your choice of Whiskey or Bourbon or Brandy, and angostura bitters to a mixing glass filled with ice. Stir for 20 seconds until the mix is well chilled and blended. Strain into a cocktail glass with a block of ice. Add a cherry, letting a drop of the syrup splash into the glass. Express the oils of an orange peel over the drink, then add the peel to the glass as garnish. Enjoy!
