Assemble:

Double shot of espresso

2 teaspoons Rich Demerara Syrup by The Flavor Apothecary

1 Tablespoon dark chocolate chips/shavings

2/3 cup milk of choice

Whipped cream (I used no sugar)

Flavor is your friend...
In an espresso cup, add the dark chocolate and Rich Demerara Syrup by The Flavor Apothecary. Add the cup under the espresso maker so that the hot liquid falls directly onto the chocolate and syrup for faster melting. Allow to sit for about 3 minutes and then stir to blend.

Alchemy all the way...
In a coffee mug filled with ice, add milk up to 2/3rds of the way. I used Almond milk here. Feel free to use the milk of your choice, or add protein powder as an option at this step. Top off with the espresso, chocolate, rich demerara elixir.

Add whipped cream and chocolate chip garnish as desired.
